How should I maintain my Yoshihiro knife?
Hand wash with mild soap and dry immediately with a soft cloth. Never use a dishwasher, as high heat and chemicals can damage the blade and handle. For carbon steel blades, apply a thin layer of Tsubaki oil to prevent rust.
Do you offer professional sharpening services?
Yes, we provide professional sharpening and repair services for all Yoshihiro knives. You can ship your knives to our service center, where our master sharpeners will restore the edge using traditional whetstones.
What is your return policy?
We offer a 30-day return policy for unused items in their original packaging. Please note that customized items, such as knives with custom engravings, are final sale and cannot be returned.
How long does shipping take?
Domestic orders typically process within 1-2 business days. Standard shipping takes 3-5 business days, while expedited options are available at checkout. International shipping times vary by destination.
What is the difference between Stainless Steel and High Carbon Steel?
High Carbon steel offers superior edge retention and is easier to sharpen but requires diligent care to prevent rust. Stainless steel is more resistant to corrosion and easier to maintain for everyday home use.
Can I use these knives on a glass cutting board?
We strongly recommend using wooden or high-quality synthetic cutting boards. Glass, marble, or ceramic surfaces are too hard and will cause the fine edge of a Japanese knife to chip or dull prematurely.
